LinkedIn takes another tiny tiny step forward by allowing 'Influencers' to post short video clips.
This isn't really a step forward at all because anyone on the site can post videos either on their profile, as an update or as a published post.
What's more, the Influencers' videos won't even be streamed live!
LinkedIn is still an amazingly powerful tool to attract new clients, but the functionality it offers on site is starting to look somewhat behind the times when compared with Facebook etc.
I think though that LinkedIn has a big concern which it's not yet properly confronting; it's worried that it is starting to look like Facebook, yet LinkedIn knows only too well that it's a direction in which it needs to travel but without irritating the business community.
How it will do that remains to be seen.
LinkedIn is joining the big digital video push. The company announced Tuesday morning that it will now let its 500 "Influencers" start posting 30-second video clips to the professional social network.
